A Self Care Announcement

Hi I’m Laura, founder of D.I.P.ism.

There have been many changes to the D.I.P.ism brand in 2023.

In the past I have managed many projects at once and this has allowed me to sail through the high and the low seasons of death.

In the UK we experience a heavier volume of death over the winter months with flu’s, colds and weather conditions providing the environment for the death transition to activate. In the Spring months of 2023 the season slowed down and I hit the wall, suffering from burn out.

Fortunately I was able to take the time to reflect on my goals for D.I.P.ism and for the first time, I considered my needs, blockages and desires. The work continues…

Travelling to London and back to Yorkshire took it’s toll as I found myself on public transport. However, having a car now means that I have to cover the expanded ULEZ charge of between £12.50 and £17.50 per day as my car is not compatible.

BUT…

Did you know? I have a directory, and listed therein are many people who do the work that I do. I am also connected to many people from all walks of life who provide excellent end of life, funeral and grief care. I have therefore decided to step away from the practical side of my work. I will return but for now:

Self Care.

This means that if I can not be there, I will arrange for someone I trust to be there for you.

I will always be available online and over the phone.

I still look forward to working with you and ensuring you and your family get all the help and support you need at this time.

Great News!

In the Spring and Summer months of 2024, I will be training those who wish to serve their communities toward the end of life and through grief. Using the books I have created, alongside my knowledge, wisdom and experiences, I will be able to guide new Death Care Practitioners so that they can provide a high quality brand of guidance and care at this most important time.
